Today, Congressman Ken Buck (R-Colo.) announced the Department of Justice Office for Victims of Crime has awarded the Colorado Division of Criminal Justice a $2,878,767 Antiterrorism and Emergency Assistance Program (AEAP) grant. This grant will assist the victims of the May 2019 shooting at STEM School Highlands Ranch in Douglas County, Colorado.

Today, Congressman Ken Buck (R-Colo.) announced the Department of Justice has granted two school districts in Elbert and Otero County with COPS Office grants to improve school safety. The Department of Justice has awarded a grant of $224,234 to Elizabeth School District No. C-1 and $15,659 to Cheraw 31 to bolster evidence-based school safety programs to ensure rapid response in events such as school shootings, natural disasters, and traumatic events such as student suicide.
