Buck Introduces Resolution Affirming United States' Support of Peace in Taiwan

WASHINGTON – Friday, Rep. Ken Buck (R-Colo.) introduced a resolution to reaffirm the commitment of the United States to Taiwan’s continued peace and autonomy and to the beneficial partnership and mutual strategic interests of the United States and Taiwan. This Resolution is part of a legislative rollout by the Republican Study Committee to counter China.

Rep. Buck made the following statement:
“We cannot allow China’s dangerous threats against the people of Taiwan to go unnoticed. I’m proud to lead this resolution reaffirming the United States’ commitment to an autonomous Taiwan and to our important partnership with the island. I am pleased to join my colleagues in the Republican Study Committee as we seek to hold the Chinese government accountable for its actions that undermine peace and stability in the US and around the world.” Rep. Buck said.
