Washington, D.C. – Congressman Ken Buck (CO-04) released the following statement in response to the House vote today on House Resolution 660, authorizing the House to open an impeachment inquiry into President Trump.

“House Democrats have been conducting an impeachment inquiry without due process, fairness or transparency for over a month. There’s no precedent for what the Democrats are trying to do in the House. We need to have open hearings for the American people to see all the facts, just as we did for the Clinton and Nixon proceedings.”

“Democrats are selectively leaking information from these closed-door proceedings to unfairly characterize President Trump’s actions. It’s all hearsay and speculation and it’s time for the House to return to legislating for those who sent us to Washington. For those reasons, I voted no on the resolution,” stated Congressman Buck.
