Washington, D.C. – Congressman Ken Buck voted against the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2020 (H.R. 1158) and the Further Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2020 (H.R. 1865) and released the following statement:

“Democrats released the text of these two bills on Monday afternoon, giving my colleagues and me less than 24 hours to read through 2300 pages of text that spends $1.4 trillion. The bills not only funded pet projects across the country but also included numerous riders like a 7-year authorization of the Export-Import bank and a $6 billion taxpayer bailout for a pension fund. This is the epitome of fiscal irresponsibility. We cannot keep saddling our children and grandchildren with insurmountable debt.”
