Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Ken Buck voted against H.R. 3762. This legislation repeals a portion of Obamacare, but fails to repeal vital aspects of the bill, including Obamacare subsidies, Medicaid expansion, and the Independent Payment Advisory Board (IPAB).
“We promised America we would use reconciliation to fully repeal Obamacare, but this legislation doesn’t do that. We can’t repeal half of the law and leave the expensive spending provisions in place. We don’t want a bigger mess than we’re already in.”
“Some believe we needed to soften this bill to pass the Senate,” Buck continued. “But I believe we need to legislate from a position of strength.”
