Art Competition

COVID-19 Updates:

The Congressional Art Competition is going digital! All entries will need to be submitted online. Please upload a photo or scan of your entry using this form or send your uploads via email.

Unfortunately, this change means that entries will not be displayed in any public place. Instead, all entries will be digitally displayed on Congressman Buck's Facebook page and website.

Winners in the categories will still be selected and the top four pieces will be selected for display. As always, the winning piece of artwork will be sent to Washington, D.C. to hang in the Capitol. Select pieces will also be displayed in Congressman Buck's office in Washington, D.C., the Colorado Department of Education Board Room, and Congressman Buck's Greeley Office. Once the winners are selected, the office will contact the winning students to gather the entry.

My staff and I apologize that these changes had to be made, but health and personal safety are our top priorities.

Each spring, a nation-wide high school arts competition is sponsored by the members of the U.S. House of Representatives. The “Patriotism Grows Here” Congressional Art Competition is an opportunity to recognize and encourage the artistic talent in the nation, as well as in our 4th Congressional District.

The “Patriotism Grows Here” Congressional Art Competition is open to all high school students in the 4th District. The winning artwork of our district's competition will be displayed for one year in the U.S. Capitol. The exhibit in Washington will include the winning artwork from all participating districts from around the country. The winning artwork is also featured on's Congressional Art Competition page.
